TI's new factory in Kuala Lumpur will be built next to the existing factory, with a planned investment of MYR 9.6 billion (approximately USD 220 million). Construction is expected to begin later this year, with production expected to begin as early as 2025.
At the same time, TI's new factory in Malacca will be located next to the existing assembly and testing plant, with a 6-story factory building to be built and connected to TI's existing factory. This new factory is expected to invest up to RM5 billion (approximately RMB 7.7 billion) and is expected to be put into operation as early as 2025.
It is reported that after full production, TI's newly built factory in Malaysia will assemble and test billions of analog and embedded processing chips every day, which will be applied in various fields such as electric vehicles. At present, TI has 15 manufacturing bases worldwide, including wafer factories, assembly and testing factories, etc.
